My grandson is very good at math until he was confronted with this "common core" math! Now he struggles to get the grades he did before! Please put and end to this "horrible form of so-called teaching"!

I don't believe just allowing common core to meld into our children's education is a a good choice. We are allowing the government to tell us what makes sense when it clearly does not, and it is frustrating and dumbing down our children

I'm all for achievement enrichment, but this has been a nightmare for me and my child. This curriculum was not tested before implementing, and it seems to be like other experiments before….they are using our children as educational ginny pigs to test The Common Core. This nightmare of a curriculum was thrown together by a bunch of individuals with some type of possible financial gain by them orchestrating this Common Core crap. We are doing work from the time he gets home from school at 4:30pm until 9:30pm. Our son is in the 3rd grade and I have never seen so much stress on an 8 year old child (nail biting, headaches, etc). This is horrible!!!!!!! NO warning of the BOMB dropping. IT just DROPPED. If it was decided on and signed in 2010, but implemented this school year….why were there no workshops for parents to attend between the 2010-2014 year?

My 3rd grader attends PS 399 in Brooklyn and I am totally frustrated with the quality of work that is given to him.His assignments are totally beyond his age level.I was educated in the Caribbean.CCS is mental abuse for our little ones, someone somewhere is just out to make money off of this curriculum, Mr educational chancellor where is ur empathy, where is your heart, don't be a robot.Education is everything but this is wrong for our children just wrong.

Phyllis Schlafly and other worthy opponents of Common Core have protested this violation of Constitutional Federalism, a leftist, statist power grab.
