Actually I think we are going to look exactly like the colors of the Carls Jr on Main and Stewart. I think the board stole their color board from there! Take a look next time you drive by. It’s actually quite laughable.

Dale, you can download the Zoom app in the App Store. Please do so for the next meeting as we need more people like you in the meetings keeping an eye on this board!

Hi John! The meeting which was they chose to have on Father’s Day was very rushed. They barely let any of the Homeowners speak and were in my opinion extremely dismissive. They have made it clear that they do not care what they consider to be a minority of the homeowners want, ie a choice in the matter. The whole meeting was to pay lip service to the idea that they held one. I felt even worse after it. It was very disheartening.

Hi Debbie, After I spread the word they re-voted and decided that the HOA would now pay for our front and back gates. We will still be responsible however for any patio covers on the back gate. They are still refusing to let us vote or uphold their original promise to give us options and listen to input. There whole attitude is one of superiority. They have told us they are not legally obligated to let us vote and therefore will not do it!

I would like a vote in this matter. And is there going to be a cost to be as well?

I hope the HOA fulfills their initial proposal in regards to giving us a vote on the colors. How do we get an update of the meeting? I wasn’t able to attend online.

This whole thing is shady to me. I live here & want my opinion to be heard.

Since I do not have zoom on my phone nor a camera on my PC I will have to miss the Sunday meeting unless someone can call me ans tell me how to get zoom on my android phone. If not my vote for the painting, especially the EXTRA OUT OF POCKET to paint my patio is a NO!!

We need more information and choices before we spend that much money.

In a time of inflation and high costs you chose to paint at that cost? Ridiculous and I cannot afford to have my rent increased again! The colors are hideous, the current colors should be kept. That would cut the cost of priming so much as they are the same colors., It will look like the condos near the block and off Town and Country - horrible. I hope the board will publish the bids and explain why they went with the company charging 200k. Granted I'm just renting, but your expenses have a direct impact on me. I hope you will revisit some of the concerns and decisions that have been made.

I agree the colors chosen do not fit with the Spanish-style architecture. The colors should reflect the architecture. We were told options were available. We weren’t told we were going to have to spend extra money on painting. I feel deceived.

I wish there were color options given for us to choose from since this project will cost so much.

Homeowners choice - NOT BOARD

I don’t dislike the colors chosen but for this amount of spending the community should be given a voice in selecting options. I am fine with painting and giving the community a facelift but we should have 3 paint schemes to choose from. It would also be very nice to have two possible front door choices so that there’s a little bit of variety and expression in the community.

My opinion on the boards choice of color doesn't flow well with the terracotta roof tiles. I am concerned that the colors selected might affect the resale value of my property. The architecture of vista monterey doesn't work with modern color palette. (Please stick with classic spanish colors that goes well with the terracotta roof tiles and brick pavers.) I'd rather would like to see HOA fix/repair the facia of warped wood panel or chipped stucco walls.

As on on a fixed income and retired I do not have the luxury of additional income besides Social Security. I also do not have unlimited money for the use of the association to pay TWICE for a project I do not agree with. I see no benefit to paying additional costs to paint something my patio Just because you "Biden/ AOC " board wants it that way. If you want my money you can collect it after I die of try to get it from the lender on our home. Good luck with that!

And to further point out, our reserves, which is a rainy day fund for major repairs is at 38%. Consequently we don't have the money to be wasting on a paint project at this time.

We should not be spending this $250000 on paint at this time. We should not have to maintain the outside of our units as this is the responsibility of the association. We also should not be doing this summer at a time where many will be out of town because of the 4th of July holiday and Labor Day holiday. The colors chosen for this project do not match with the brick wall of our carports. Consequently the vision boards are of the front facade not the rear facade. Clearly no thought went into this process

Home owners, you can see for yourself on Redfin and Zillow we hold the highest sales in comparison to the our neighboring condominiums. I believe miss matching paint colors with a classic Spanish architecture would profoundly cheapen are community.
