We have secured a commitment to evaluate the existing roadside path for future upgrades instead. Legal counsel will monitor the formal project filings to ensure this decision remains permanent.

The scale of this response confirms that our concerns regarding the trail route are widely shared. I am currently coordinating with a land use attorney to prepare our formal opposition for the next DNR planning session.

If there is a reasonable alternative, which does not include the government acquisition of private land, it should be utilized.
This new trail system is not needed. Existing trail is in place and could be upgraded, is already maintained by local residents.
Looks like this will be a gateway to expand for future projects. The residents of edgemere-sparrows point and fort howard can already safely access these areas and have for years. Just look at the vehicle traffic studies vs the amount of vehicles accessing north point state park and fort howard park. The numbers don't add up.
Veteran's Park is already an issue with drinking, drugs, loud music, trespassing after dark, and leaving trash on the ground. The trail will bring a better path at add more issurmes for the park and the neighbors.
I am against the proposed bike trail aling North Point Road. I believe the grant which is funding the project was secured by submitting false statements on thr grantcapplication.
Replace Mr.Francis Taylor on the Edgemerr Community Council.
I lived near this area growing up and disagree with this. I can't see why Government can get away with taking peoples land from them for a project such as a trail.

This area already has an over abundance of trail options. It amazed us 20 years ago when moved to Sparrows Point. Maybe the motivation and money to create something new should be directed to maintaining and improving what is existing.
