Harper keep your hands off the copyright laws.

30 years PPOC and CAPIC lobbied the government to update our copyright laws to give them more teeth and to protect artists in this country. In one foul swoop the conservatives try to undo that because they have screwed things up so bad they are afraid of getting creamed in the next election.

Changing the copyright laws (or any laws) for one's agenda - a political one nonetheless, is very wrong! Where does it stop? How far can an agenda or government go? That's what's scary.

Keep copyright intact for photographers, that is our work and should be purchased just the same as any other service....

If the politicians want our hard work for free then they should forfeit their salary and see how they like it.

It's hard enough to protect our work, let alone when the government starts giving it away.

The copyright law gives me the rights to the images and content produced by me. By showing it, I do not make it public property, I'm exhibiting my work, not giving it away.
