I find it particularly disturbing when my granddaughter comes home and tells me she hid behind the toilet in the bathroom during an active shooter drill. What in the heck is going on here. I had to do the 'Duck and Cover' my whole childhood and into high school years. This madness has got to stop. Please promote a universal ban on assault and semi-automatic assault weapons to stop the killing fields of schools!

Assault weapons do not belong in the hands of our neighbors, they were created to kill people and nothing else and they should be limited to law enforcement and military uses! Just because something is cool, doesn't mean you have the right to own it!
