Can the government really steal our pensions? I can't believe they can actually steal and I really mean steal our pensions we have worked so hard for. Surely if we have signed a contract the government can't step in 30 years later and change it? (There must be a law against this sort of blatant theft?) We are already taking a pay cut for two years when the rate of inflation is way over what it has been over the last few years. A pay freeze is another government scam to claw back the cash needed for the UK bank disaster. Not that the banks are considering a pay freeze. They are still giving employees big bonuses. The government is only concerned with keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer; there is no doubt about it. What is needed is a major petition and walk out and I mean everyone! They can't keep treating us this way and getting away with it, in my opinion this is a criminal act which should be treated as such.
