This is detrimental to the entire residential area feeding the Virlyn B Smith and Rivertown rd corridor. There are homes that border the proposed gas station in opposition.

My husband and I would never have purchased our home here in Durham Lakes had a liquor store and gas station been at the proposed sites. These type retail businesses are not conducive to this affluent community and the hard working people who live here should not be subjected to that which we’ve strived to escape.

What is going on with the officials who should be making decisions in the best interest of the community they serve. This community does not have the infrastructure to support the traffic and environmental implications from this development. There surely will be a negative effect on the lake from pollution by outsiders, patrons of the stores who will not care were they through trash. I am totally against anything other than green space or commercial businesses that will bring health, wellness, and prosperity to our community.

This is not why we have worked so hard for elements that these establishments will and always bring to our beautiful subdivision we must fight we must use every tool in the tool box and we can’t let money stop us from fighting and having the best representation whatever it takes Neighbors we are in this together.
