My cousin May is completely wheelchair bound and is not able to move independently or speak. Cutting transport to her day program means her parents need to take her or the program is cut for her.

Services like this are crucial for the people who attend these day prodrams it gives them some independance as well as es who often have no other means of transport or are torn between transporting to the centre and getting other members of their families to school or activities. Private transport is often cost prohibitive which means people are forced to stay at home and miss the all important social contact attending these day centers provide.
