Stop the Firing of Arlington VA's Fire, Police, and Civilian Employees

I have many friends still working for Arlington County. Regardless of your stance on the vaccines effectiveness, no one should be forced to have a vacine.

We need people protecting us and they need the freedom to choose.

My husband works for ACFD. Losing his job over this illegal mandate would put our family of 7 in serious jeopardy!

I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO SIGNED THE PETITION. I WHOLEHEARTDLY THANK EVERYONE WHO WORKED HARD DURING THE ENTIRE PANDEMIC WITH AND WITHOUT A VACCINE. President Biden never had authority under federal procurement law to issue the executive order that have established a mandate in so many places. This mandate that Arlington County has in place will create an unfair economic burden amongst many Arlington County employees and their families. This will lead to staff shortages indeed. County Manager and County Board please reconsider the termination of us employees.

Arlington County always preach to the employees about Diversity,Inclusive and Equity. The Vaccine mandate is the total opposite and Destroys the peoples basic human rights.

I think it is WRONG that the Arlington Co Govt is forcing their employees to take a shot that could leave lasting effects on them down the road. Today marks the 1 anniversary of the first person, Margaret Keenan, who received the vaccine outside a clinical trial. There is no data on how this can hurt an individual 5 years or 10 years down the road. As a spouse of someone who works for the ACFD, it makes me very mad that MY BODY, MY CHOICE MEANS NOTHING!

Stop the firing and putting public safety at risk.

So my body my choice doesn't apply here? There is enough information out now that shows and proves that you just as likely you get and give covid with or with or the vaccine.

Let’s bring back some decency and personal freedom! Remind yourself this is America!!

I am a Pentagon first responder with over 25 years of proudly serving Arlington County and this Fire Department. The Police and Fire employees you want to fire have risked their lives for the citizens of this county. What a way to thank us and our families for our sacrifices.

This is one of the dumbest decisions the Board will ever make if this mandate goes forward. Stop the tyrannical, power-hungry policies! Your duty is to protect your county citizens, not jeopardize their lives by losing more Fire, Police, and civilian employees! #DoTheRightThing
