26 is invested enough without adding a ridiculously large gas station. It is not needed, not wanted and is as well too close to harbour and residences.

This small town does not need 3 gas stations nor 2 pizza delivery stores. The design of these stations is not compatible with the charm of Thornbury. This needs to be stopped NOW!

I feel as most do that Thornbury is a town built on entrepreneurial spirit. Allowing more fast food chains to come in will spoil the town. Also. The town should be more aware of the impact gas stations have on the residential areas of town. Not withstanding the grocery store and gas station at the west end the east end is better spot if another gas bar needs to go in.

This gas station does not belong in this residential area! It is far too dangerous and disruptive!

Consultation with all stakeholders in a community is the key to good development. Residents and commercial business owners need ample notification and consultation with their municipality on development that inevitably impacts their lives in one way or another. This development was presented to council over 4 years ago and resurfaced again now without notification or consultation with the community. My ask to Council and the Mayor is a planning study of the segment of Hwy 26 that runs through Thornbury to identify and provide direction, in consultation with the community, desirable and appropriate development for Thornbury.

I do not support this location for such a business. The ONLY place that makes any sense would be further east ( outskirts of town and / or nearer to craigleith/ Blue Mtn village)...on hwy 26- there are several places where it would be better for everyone ( even the business itself) in my opinion.

ESSO: Be a good corporate citizen and take your business away from the access corners to our quiet family neighbourhood and our tourist friendly harbour and park. There are better spots along Highway 26 - not that you are actually needed here now that we have two stations within two miles and an ESSO ten miles down the road. Be kind....go away.

Doesn’t make sense for a third one!!! Why would you even want to join a small community that already has gas stations!? Can’t imagine that would make you much money!?

Esso: definitely not necessary for a third gas station along this corridor and especially not at this fully functioning family and tourist neighbourhood.

The last thing we need is another gas station. Was the pubic even informed this was about to happen, were we able to give our opinions or don't our opinions matter ?
