Approval for 3 gas stations in a small town does not make sense. Highway 26 thru town will be like hwy 11 gasoline alley.

3 gas stations in small town Thornbury central...seriously?!!
Unattractive, uneccessary, overkill, TRAFFIC nightmare! Move your location or change your gas station to an alternate business.

Terrible land use planning to allow this to happen.

This proposed station is too close to the existing residence. Who allowed the ignoring of setbacks?

Surprised to see signs for Esso and Pizza Pizza arriving in Thornbury. I am most concerned for local residents and our existing businesses and the long-reaching ramifications to them, to the environment and to the health and wellbeing of our community. The two new businesses are already well represented within our community by existing gas stations and pizza restaurants.

This space could be utalized in so much better ways that would suit the community needs than yet another gas station and pizza shop all within eye shot.

There is no need for 3 gas stations in Thornbury, and more importantly, the location of this one is right in the middle of a residential area/beach access and will cause traffic issues on an already busy stretch. It will also ruin Thornbury's village charm. Hopefully the owner will see the comments in this petition and be open to discussing this. Please reconsider your plans, and join this vibrant community as a welcome addition - it is a wonderful place to call home.

I am looking forward to supporting the Stop the Esso station at Arthur and Elma at the deputation that will be presented to Council on February 4th. Please attend the meeting and show your support for development that is congruent to the growth of our community, that is not a potential safety risk for families going to the beach or an eyesore in our beautiful town.

By all accounts this is unnecessary and unwanted. Put something worthwhile in it's place.

This is not the right location for a large Esso station.
