Petition to stop the erection of Utility Power Lines along Darrington Rd.

Horizon City residents only please!

Concern: The current construction project of erecting utility poles and power lines along Darrington Rd. by the El Paso Electric Company will not benefit our community at all. Instead, the current plan for El Paso Electric Company’s’ erection of unsightly, dangerous, and ultimately hazardous utility poles along Darrington Rd. will only serve to save the utilityco. money by not burying it's power lines IN THE SAME MANNER THAT ALL EXISTING UTILITIES ALONG DERRINGTON RD. HAVE BEEN BURIED and (in no way benefiting our town.) Again, these power lines are only going to carry electricity from one side of our community to the other, and in doing so will create serious hazards for pedestrians and vehicles by blocking/limiting views from every intersection along Darrington Rd. as well as creating an eyesore that WILL DEVALUE OUR HOMES AND NEIGHBORHOODS! The power lines will increase the likely hood of accidents along Darrington Rd. (a road that already experiences an elevated number of serious accidents); specifically at the intersection of Roslyn and Darrington Rd.

Our neighborhood has always enjoyed the open and unobstructed views provided by having buried utilities and we must not allow a utility company like El Paso Electric Company to arbitrarily erect dangerous and unsightly utility poles in our neighborhood for no other reason than to save the utility company money at the expense of our community's safety and beauty!

Please, sign the petition and help stop the erection of these poles in our beautiful neighborhood that would only endanger our citizens and devalue our property!
