So much money has been wasted already. Studies to determine if solar or geothermal should be used, when engineers have already determined that our area of the country is not conducive to either for a large, high ceiling structure. And now it's doubled in price and will cost more than the township building for a prefab pickleball court.
We need more fields and open spaces, not enclosed tin cans.

Thank you for getting this started. Many I know don't want it or will ever use it.

Project is way too expensive and unnecessary. We have the Y which is very community focused already. Contractors are ripping you off. I don't want my tax dollars going toward this. Make more gradual improvements over time as needed and voted on.

Not in favor of the plan. Do not feel most township residents are aware of the ballooned budget nor do I think most would be in favor of the indoor facility and it’s astronomical cost that will ultimately be paid for with our taxes rising yet more beyond the slated tax increase. Since the bill will fall to us as the taxpayers, this is a matter that should be held to a vote by us. Many of the proposed plans are for facilities that many of us feel are redundant in our community and even after paying taxes, would not be free for the township residents who are footing the bill. We don’t need or want this. Outdoor bathrooms by Kids Castle and improvements/additions to outdoor courts, yes. Indoor space: no.

I'm not sure who will be using this costly facility. What is its real purpose? Are there any organizations that have committed to using it?

We have a beautiful YMCA and a planet fitness in Doylestown. Why do we need a $14m rec center at a beautiful “green” park? Not exactly a sustainable use of taxpayer funds!

I do not think we need a rec center. Our taxes are high enough

I definitely think we do not need to build a rec center in our township.

I don't want this rec center. Doylestown doesn't need it. It is a waste of taxpayer money and will just cause our taxes to go up.

I'm certainly not interested in spending such an exorbitant amount of money on something that is not needed and will be underutilized.
I would be very interested in electing new "officials" should this rec center be built.

This is moving much too fast for a project of this magnitude and cost in these inflationary times.
Please put this project on hold!!
