Country villages like Claverham should not be spoiled by fast buck seeking developments. This field floods easily.

the destruction of wildlife habitat would be unacceptable and there is a risk of increased flooding which is already a problem on the proposed site. the access roads will not be able to cope with the increased vehicle volume r

This development is dressed up as responding to a social need, no real case is made for the social need in this location, just that there is a national and thence local policy for more housing. This is not a charitable exercise, it is a purely commercial and for profit scheme, the beneficiaries of which do not live here. The arguments for development put forward are just statements without proper grounds. There is reason for disputing this. In my humble opinion we should not publish our objections or grounds where they can be picked up and then researched and countered in a planning application, we should fully prepare and only publish once we have the application to contest. If any are to object, on the Gladman site, this or Facebook we should be aware that we are publishing to Gladman any strategy we may have.

This development seeks to present the case that it is to meet a social need. This boils down to the fact that there is a national policy for more housing and attemps

The infrastructure will not support this number of houses (and cars): drainage is bad, roads are single track (apart from Claverham Road). There are no shops, pub, GP services etc. The list is endless.

Proposed development cannot be supported by existing local infrastructure and will have an adverse affect on the quality of life of existing residents. Road traffic from residents of potential development will have a significant negative impact on local roads including those within neighbouring villages.

This area needs to be preserved for the local community for walks and pleasant nature seeing.

The proposed development will not only destroy the nature within the fields but will also add to a village already over congested without acceptable infrastructure as it is.

Totally over the top development. 100 to 150 extra houses leaving the village.

Where do I start, firstly the site is totally unsuitable the road access to the area won't cope, turning right into Streamcross is on a blind bend! an extra 100-200 cars passing houses twice a day or more not good, a lot of cars will use Streamcross as a rat run using it as a cut through to go to Clevedon this lane and adjoining lanes are only single tracks and used by farmers and horse riders. Residents have pets that won't be used to the increase in traffic resulting in more being knocked over. The field and lane floods every year and becomes impassable for most traffic if this field is built on this will only become worse. It's already very difficult to get a doctors appointment due to them being full and having known many people in recent years who live in the village try to get their children into the local school and being denied due to them being over subscribed and as a result their children are now being shipped to other schools, i'm extremely concerned about the so called research the building company have done on this! trying to say that the school would have to close down due to the lack of numbers is fabrication of the truth.

The infrastructure, (GP's, Schooling, Road network) is already passed capacity and the water and sewerage is completely overflowing, a completely and utterly unsuitable area, which would cause dangerous situations for children and others alike with this sort of increase trying to use roads and services.
