Charters are not the answer, York City children need and deserve the teachers that love and understand them and the way they learn. Refund our inner city schools with equity and give these needy students an equal chance.

Mr. Meckley never did his due diligence in assessing the issues within our schools. His only aim was to profit from the fleecing of innocent children.

CRO Meckley showed such toward thestudents, parents, teachers and this community in the way he has handled the concerns and out cry in regards to turning our school district into a charter school. His disdain was seen from the very beginning of the process. This is the Hell I spoke about.

If we sit quiet, as a community we will have no input on how oyr children and grand children are educated. We will also giving up our right to vote as our elected school board will become moot.

I was at the last School Board where these students, many of them honor students and high achievers, presented their case before the school Board and Mr. Meckley. They were asking questions about programs many of them were involved in such as dual enrollment and honors classes, JROTC, Band and other musical programs and programs such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Programs. They were asking if programs such as those would be a part of a Charter School curriculum. Neither Mr. Meckley nor the Charter School USA representatives could of would answer their question.In fact, in spite of pledging to research answers for them, Meckley and his arrogant cronies just totally disregarded the concerns of our Best & Brightest students and decided to do an end run by petitioning the Courts for control of the schools. Now I venture to say if their ignorance and arrogance allows them to totally disrespect and disregard the legitimate concerns of our most engaged students before they even gain control, I ask you what level of accountability can we the taxpaying families of this city expect if they are given total control? Judge Linebaugh, please see through this inept charade presented by people who articulate a contrived concern for our children while their actions continue to show utter contempt and disdain for us and our children.......
