The QE11 Hospital in WGC, has shut and now they want to demolish the hospital to build a car park for the new much smaller QE2, The nearest main A&E hospital is 8miles away Lister Hospital in Stevenage, which cannot cope with the demand of almost all of Hertfordshire! We want the qE11 to stay and re-open as there is nothing wrong with the building and can accommodate for people's needs. Let's Stop the demolishing of our much loved QE11,

Reaching this point has been physically draining but seeing so many people refuse to let them tear down our hospital keeps me moving. It is clear that I am not the only one who sees the absurdity of trading health services for a parking lot.

Please leave our hospital alone as a regular inpatient I can tell you now it's not working at lister hospital they don't have the beds or the staff 9 hrs I waited for a bed sitting on a hard chair with severe pain.
it's highly likely that someone will die in an ambulance stuck in a traffic jam on the A1M. With all the projected housing schemes in the pipeline we need a proper local hospital even more. The new building is nothing more than a collection of clinics.
It's just crazy to expect the residents of wgc and hatfield and anywhere else that would usually use the QE11 to have to get to Stevenage when they may be in a lot of pain and or distress. We don't all drive so we either have to use public transport or call a taxi if we have no one able to take us, or call an ambulance and put even more pressure on this struggling resource. Even if it's just for a routine appointment it can cause added stress and expense that may result in people cancelling as they may feel that it's just too much to cope with. That extra journey will also cause a lot more pain for some people which will put them off going. So please think again and keep it open, alot of us desperately need it.
The promise of a new hospital in hatfeild was broken QE2 should be reinstated as it was until a new hospital is built as promised. Lister cannot be left to cope alone.
This hospital is a 2 minute walk from my house. I have 4 young children who if anything ever happened to them will have to somehow get to lister to be helped. QE2 should be re opened and not demolished!!!

Stevenage can not cope with QE2 closure, so we will be sent to Watford, Hemel Hempstead or even Harlow. That is not acceptable

i worked there for many years, it was an amazing helpful place just needed updating it caters for local people as well as out of area. Lister is difficult to reach and over crowded all the time.!!!
