I receive a bill every month for delivery charge on a cabin that uses zero power during the winter months!
Basically a delivery charge for no delivery.
Explain that one!

Delivery charges with Hydro One are the highest in Ontario. If you are not with Hydro One you probably don't know that some people are getting charged way more for delivery depending on where they live. No one knows about this because it's only Hydro One customers in rural areas that are forced to pay two to three times a city dweller in delivery fees.

My bill has doubled in the past year because of the delivery charges. This is ridiculous.

A delivery charge that's higher than our actual usage is ridiculous and if I
strike and not pay.... You'll still get me up my ass by late payment interest or disconnect

My delivery charge is almost as high as my usage costs, how is this reasonable?
I received a bill for.almost $700, and my neighbor received one for $1200 and he lives alone.(for one month)

These hydro rates are just killing my wallet, there has to be an end to this robbery.

I resent the cost of Hydro One to start with but the delivery charge is ridiculous. The electrons run past my house every day whether I use them or not. No electrons are can be considered wasted because the have to keep passing through the wire. I bought the underground electrical line running from the road into my house. A widowed pensioner on electric heat and I am freezing in my house because I cannot afford the hydro bill. Last month January my house was at 55 degrees F. Today FEB 17th it is warmer at 62 degrees F. My bill for January is $739.70. I replaced my 'leaky' windows last year.as advised by a gov't consultant (ECO) It is costing me $426.17 per month. In 1967-68 Ontario Hydro convinced my husband and I who were building our house, that hydro was the best way to heat out house. Therefore we built the house for this heating configuration. At that time it was very effective and affordable. Then after It became Hydro One things started to change. Now the entire Hydro costs are through the roof. and beyond my means . This winter I have been spending most of my time in the basement. I tried doing all my Laundry cooking and cleaning after the 7"00 PM line so called Off peak But the price of the off peak is now keeps increasing as well. I want the hydro,s entire operation to be overhauled to improve its efficiency . I resent being held hostage to this out of control company. A service that is necessary for survival in this society and time. And the give our hydro away to Ohio?. Have they absolutely no control over their production methods?

Unfortunately hydro and the government work on teeter totter. If you change something they will change something else. You decrease in one area they always rob you somewhere and increase somewhere:(
Not get off topic but insurance is crazy too, cellphone bills how they have to find somewhere to charge you to make themselves money. All the payments in everything make you wonder how, why, how can they get away with this and leads to the word bullcrap!
