Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you today due to the recent but not old issue of the service the KTM has been providing to the thousands of people that commute by it every day. The issue faced every day without fail by the thousands of other people and I, is the delaying of trains. I think the severity of this action seems to go unnoticed, therefore i shall take the liberty in explaining this situation to you. When the train is delayed (usually at peak hours! or right before) more masses of people gather on the small KTM platforms. When there are more masses of people on the platforms, there are more people that need to fit into the KTM. When the train finally arrives, that's when the pushing, the snatch thieving, the groping, the harrassment and assault all happens because everyone has had a hard day at work and wants to go home to their families, children and lives and jsut wants to get into the train. Other people see this as an opportunity to take advantage. An opportunity that the delaying of the KTM has created. Let us take the RapidKL system for an instance, if you have not noticed, let me enlighten you on the behaviour of the masses on the RapidKL platforms. People don't want to push and shove and merely take a step back when the train looks crowded knowing that the next train will be on time and therefore they trust that they will not need to rush and hurry. This other mindset of theivery and uncompassionate pushing and shoving is one that your lack of management of the trains (that is bought by our taxes) propagates. You have to stop blaming the masses for their behavious when you do not provide the simple basic solution of managing your trains to be on time! The amount of hassle that can be avoided is absolutely mind-blowing if you think about improving work morale amongst your staff, improving incentives so they would take the effort to serve the general public better. We dont need new trains, we need better MANAGEMENT of the trains and that is your responsibility. I urge you to STOP THE DELAYS OF THE KTM! This is a letter of complaint from a hardworking tax-paying commuter who is festered by rage and frustration, hoping things will change.
