I work at a nokill cat shelter. With support from kind, compassionate people we make it work in our community, and have for almost 30 years! You have people stepping forward to be just as compassionate. I'm from Topeka, Kansas, and I am watching. What will your answer be? What will your actions tell the world about what kind of people you are?

Let your fine country be known for mercy, compassion and treating the helpless with fairness and kindness. Don't let your fine country be known around the world for cruelty, arrogance, bureaucratic red tape and indifference. Please do the right thing and if others want to help these most helpless of God's creation then why not allow it or even welcome it and work together towards a solution?

I would like to see how these people treat their fellow humans if they have no respect for mans best friend . Please stop this abuse now! Stop making it about money and let these dogs have some sort of life :'(

Please, please allow these dogs to be fed, watered, and rehomed! There are caring people who are willing to step up and rescue them -- please let them do it!!! Please show that Romania is a kind and caring country.

This is horrifying. There are people willing to care for these animals and get them proper food, treatment and homes. If the local government authorities can't take care of the animals they've seized, then give them up to some-one who can.
