the pollution from the cruise ships is disgusting; it's turning our outer walls black, our cars are covered with black residue from the diesel fumes, and the smell is terrible and impossible to get away from. we have to keep our doors and windows shut in the middle of summer, just to lessen the choking effect of the fumes.

I live across the street from the cruise ship terminal. The exhaust from the cruise ships has bothered me and my family for years. Now to find out they are dumping garbage! The cruise ships need to be regulated.

The cruise ships dump more than garbage! They spew the air with pollution and the taxis and other vehicles that arrive in James Bay whenever a cruise ship is in dock are dangerous to the local community as they appear to have no respect for the local residents who have to watch out for speeding vehicles who quite often do not stop at stop signs! James Bay deserves to be compensated for the revenue that is raised for the city of Victoria ....

Also we need Power Up for the spewing cruise ship toxins by having their engines running while they are in port. More ships next year reported!

I'd like to see a cost/benefit to Victoria of this. In Fact I'd like to see a cost benefit to Victoria of the entire cruise ship business here.

Until we upgrade our recycling and garbage disposal infrastructure, please unload your foreign garbage where it can be dealt with appropriately.
