I enjoy workshops and I love to keep current in the field. I think the CPL is too much. I work for a school board and teachers have a college as well and don't have to do all this paperwork accountability.

There is just to much going on to add worrying about this. We are great at what we do! Also I’ve gone back to school and adding this to my course load is too much

If the teachers don’t have to do this in order to renew their license then why ECEs need to do this CPL?

All you need to do is have us keep track of three workshops we attend yearly and state them upon renewal of our membership fees, which by the way, are excessive! We are adults and already know what we need improvement on and strive every day to ameliorate!

Crazy we have already all the pressures of work and now this on top $150 should at least give us more then what we get. So disappointing!

We are already doing everything the CPL wants us to do so making it mandatory and giving us extra paper work while we are trying to make time for our families is just crazy.

I believe it is important to continue with professional development while working. However the format and extra time on top of above and beyond of participating in PD on our own time, that is expected from the CECE , is over whelming . So far, the $150 a year,(more than a days pay for many of us) has not benefitted the us in any means. Change the CPL format to a less demanding and time consuming method.

My diploma was good for 20 years and for the last several years I now have to pay $150 and now have to do this. It is just to much!!!!!

No other professionals need to do the same level of development that Eces do. It needs to be more realistic. And stop spending my $150 in stupid shiny brochures!

With no paid time for planning i find it difficult to have to spend my free time that i need so much of to plan and relax i know have to use writing my portfolio
