This breaks my heart. I have a 4 year old Ted and Ted’s bench needs to be a place bat his family can remember him, place items of remembrance and grieve. The little tokens aren’t hurting anyone. Don’t be so heartless council.

I can’t believe anyone could complain about this. Please try put yourself in the shoes of Ted’s parents, family and friends and find your heart. This is harmless to the people complaining but a massive way to help Ted’s loved ones get through each day. So sad that anyone would complain about this. We sometimes live in a very sad world where you wonder if people are still human.

Maybe compromise and ask that all items be placed on ground on the sides of the bench

It’s really a complete shame for ANYONE to send a letter to a grieving mother to remove the things on the bench that she paid for in memory of her child. That’s the last piece of anything that she has to remember her child. Anyone responsible should be ashamed.

Its outrageous that people can complain about this small tribute to such a short brave little life taken so cruelly, can you not show the same dignity he did by allowing his family and friends to remember him in this way?

The family paid for this bench to be placed in memory of their son so they should be able to do as they please with it.

I totally think the items should stay on the bench. The items are not causing any harm and it’s a great comfort for such a huge loss.

Look into your hearts. The loss of a child is one of the most painful weights to bear as you would realise if you took the time to examine the research & scientific evidence. As I well know, the expression of this grief is the most powerful thing we have as parents to express the love for our child that is no longer here. Anyone who tries to block this is nothing short of heartless.
