Stop the councils removal of tributes on Ted’s bench

Please don’t remove it

Please let this family keep this bench for people to respect their love of their son

because this is a community wish and it’s causing no harm. Let the bench be and leave the family and local community to deal with their loss in their own way

It's the people the council support isn't it? May they show compassionate and open ears to the community.

Please leave the beautiful tributes alone. What harm are they doing? They are bringing comfort, love and joy to first time parents who have lost their little boy. Have some compassion. And to the moaners and complainers.....shame on you!

I am appalled at the complete lack of empathy towards the parents of this memorial bench. It’s barely been a few months and a few of the general public are complaining about a bench dedicated to the memory of a little boy! Ted was Natalie and Kevin’s first born - a fighter who fought the odds to live as long as he did! I cannot believe that people could be so heartless and the fact you are even condoning these complaints and requesting the flowers and balloons are removed astonishes me! I can guarantee you will have twice as many complaints ‘to deal with’ by requesting the items are removed!

Hi June. Ted is my 1 year old son who passed away on 16th June on his daddy’s birthday. Ted has touched the hearts of many people. We paid for a bench and had it fitted in the centre of the town. Local residents visit the bench often and have left flowers and small gifts on the bench for ted. Tonight we had a Halloween cat figure left on there, a pumpkin the other day and a mini pumpkin full of flowers. We as a family like to have a balloon on the bench so everyone can see teds smiling face as they pass. Today we received a letter to say people have complained about the flowers and balloon and I have been told to remove everything. Thankyou Natalie

Please respect the family and friends wishes and let this sign of respect and community spirit remain in place

The tributes are beautiful also enables children to be comfortable in asking questions, as tranquil n safe

Absolutely f**cking disgusted with this letter from Whitnash council. If it wasn't for Nat and Kev the f**cking bench wouldn't be there. They paid for permission for the bench to be placed there, they paid for the bench and it was a family member that fitted the bench.
