Stop the councils removal of tributes on Ted’s bench

This bench is not a bus stop bench as the town council have said and would be a wonderful place to reflect and be a memorial too

Why ?? They don't hurt anyone and I am sure Teds family remove and dying flower ect

It’s disgusting that the family are having to deal with this. Leave them be to remember the boy.

As a community we should show our support to residents in such difficult times not try and destroy what they have left

I think it should stay it’s not doing any harm to anyone if anything it’s making there day a lot happier.i think it is a disgrace what the council want to do x

I find it appalling that the council are trying to do this it’s a beautiful bench myself and sister drive past everyday and see the tributes left for ted leave it where it is

Strange how people find this offensive. In my opinion I would turn the argument around and say keeping it there, and people seeing it, it will highlight to visitors what a close knit community there is and therefore will actually look welcoming and promote the area. Surely this is therefore what the council should be doing and encouraging. Case closed

What kind of sick people would complain about tributes being left on a dedicated memorial bench for such a young child so soon after the parents sadly lost them. Sit somewhere else or accept it for how it is. It’s not dangerous and isn’t doing any harm.

We believe Ted’s parents have been through enough losing their child the bench is one thing to remember him by and brings the community together.

I really hope they keep little Ted's bench what a lovely place for people to visit and remember. Would be a great shame if people had to stop leaving such lovely tributes x

cannot understand why anyone wouldn’t want the tribute there, its become part of the community, and clearly helps family and friends grieve for their beautiful little man. shame on the person who reported it to the council and shame on whoever at the council decided to entertain the complaint and write to Teds already suffering parents. where’s the compassion gone?
