As a leader in the charitable sector in Spelthorne, I can confidently say that Stanwell is a friendly and inclusive community for families. For many years, this hotel, along with local organisations, has offered housing and support to children and families, successfully integrating many into our community. While I understand the necessity for asylum seekers to have a place to stay while their cases are processed, a men-only hotel in this area is not an appropriate solution. The safety of existing families and children must be a priority. It is essential for the government to take a more proactive approach to address all aspects of immigration in this context.

This is an ill advised action which will adversely affect Stanwell residents

Creating all male accommodation will put a high concentration of single males in the area and I am concerned about the behaviour this could bring about. All accommodation should be mixed and provide shelter for families and single people of both genders.

I lived in stanwell for many years, my husband grew up there. The stanwell hall hotel was beautiful and we spent many a Sunday there having a meal and a drink.

These men are being moved because they are harassing women and children in their own communities. What about the safety of the women and children in our communities? No no no!
