Weigh the possibility of campaign donations against the sure loss of votes from the signers of this petition. There will surely be many more that don't sign that will still think twice about electing the administration which allows this to happen-again!

July 6 Planning and Zoning Commission has the request on tonights agenda. It might not pass tonight (still some pending items) but it is possible/likely the applicant will respond with the answers that would keep the project moving forward.

Building a plant so near a residential area with so many senior citizens, many with health issues, is unacceptable. There is still enough open land away from heavily populated areas to chose from. They should not be allowed to negatively affect our wildlife, our waterways and the citizens of Georgetown.

Along with the fact that there will be soon more traffic due to the 1500 house build up against SC border off of 195. Dodging that and potentially large trucks, with the history of fatalities. It would be good to limit the amount of traffic as long as possible, as well as types.
If the company cannot be responsible for effluent contaminating the areas waters and have proven they are inconsistent about the waste byproduct... then NO should be the response to the cement plant build request.

Find a site away from developments such as Sun City. The quarries and concrete plants in the area are significantly affecting the quality of life here.
