No!! to the Five Star Concrete Plant stormwater permit application, for obvious reasons well outlined by Martin Byhower. Be concerned as well about the source of the huge quantities of water needed to manufacture concrete. The drop in the underground water table will be catastrophic for surrounding communities. The plant owner has carefully avoided discussing this.

I am totally dismayed that TCEQ allowed the air quality permit. Georgetown should deny the storm water permit. SAVE BERRY CREEK! We have birds, wildlife, people. What would the Blue Hole be for swimming after pollution with toxic chemicals flows downstream?

Georgetown Ordinance Section 11.04 (Stormwater Management System Requirements) should be the basis of this this denial. Five Star's treatment system is not designed to mitigate all pollutants found at concrete batch plants. Their plan to manage this is to allow overflow is to allow such overflow to be discharged into Berry Creek which is important an integral part of the natural eco systems in this area at it is an important water source for much of the wildlife in the area.

I live off of Ronald Reagan and use it to access 195 daily. It is already a dangerous road. Adding even more truck traffic is a recipe for disaster for all of us. And that doesn't even take into consideration the health issues from the air quality that are going to arise. I see a lot of legal issues down the road if this goes through.
