It takes way too long and it's very time consuming. Kids have no time to be a kid and play when home. It's hsrd to cook bc I'm running back and forth having to learn how to do the math and teach my kids bc the teacher sends home guide to make us teach them. It's a waste of time when a problem that takes a few seconds takes 15 plus minutes. I do math every day for the past 11 years at my job and common core is not the real world.

This is dumbing down our children. And leaving the disabled children behind. They deserve a high school diploma just like everyone else.

i don't like this common core . I see it's hurting our kids . i have tow boys one in 4th grade the and about to fell and go to summer school because he don't understand this new math.
i am praying to God that it get thrown out of all schools.

I am very concerned for my 6 year olds mental status due to the anxiety that common core gives him. I could go on and on about how awful this is. A vocabulary word AMIABLE for a 1st grader??. A child that just got out of kindergarten learning ABC's and starting to read to now learning the largest ocean, smallest ocean, respiratory system, etc. 6 test every Friday at times 9, and hours of homework after he has been at school doing this all day. My child can not even do after school activities like piano because he tells me his brain can not take any more. The math... Smh. The vocabulary... Smh. Our state should be ashamed of themselves doing this to our children. I work for behavioral health. The psychiatrist has told me he has seen such an increase of children and it is due to common core.

I am embarrassed to say that it was Rapides Superintendent that spoke in Baton Rouge for Common Core. The ONLY one in the state. I assume he wants in on the money coming in from Gates, Walton, etc foundations pushing Common Core and Charter schools. Look at New Orleans......

Our school board already passed a resolution to get rid of common core. It's not for every child and doesn't consider those with special needs or learning differences.
