After decades of allowing local residents and traffic drive through the Hollow Road during firing practice, The Irish Defence Forces have now closed off the road much to the disruption and annoyance of locals in the Kildare South area. The road links Newbridge, Kilkullen and Athgarvan to Ballysax, Brownstown and Cut Bush.

This road is an important route for local traffic and business and the Defence Forces are now blocking the road to traffic from 10am to 1pm. In years past and by setting a precedent, public traffic was allowed to pass through the road during firing practice with a warning that it was done so at the drivers own risk.

This petition calls for this right of way to be reinstated to the normal condition it operated for decades and allow traffic to pass through at their own risk during firing practice and not be blocked by members of the Defence Forces.
