I would simply like the government or the parliament to prevent this deportation if ever the campaigners in favour of her deportation should get their target signatures and were to influence the Gambia Government into action.
More details
Gambians and in fact most African fellows are too emotional when it comes issues even affecting the masses of the population.
As a result, they consider issues negatively affecting masses of the population especially women, children and the elderly. Examples, corruption, miss management of public funds, incompetence, nepotism and these and many others are not hard to find in our society and government structure.
We live with these for many centuries now and pretent that are non existence. If any one talks about them especially a new face in our midst, the emotionals consider it an insult to the Gambia, instead of encouraging them. This is what ART CATHEY IS CURRENTLY BEING CAMPAIGNED AGAINST TO HAVE HER DEPORTED SO TO MAINTAIN THE STATU QUO.
I see no real reason to deport her. She’s making a huge difference in The Gambia and she’s trying to get us Africans in Amerikkka to come back and boost your economy. Is it jealousy because an American that is an African descendant has come in with the truth and is creating things that the people failed to do themselves? I think so. Leave her be.

Africa as a whole should weigh in on the fact that by even allowing a petition to be started contradicts the many pleas for African Americans to come home. Is this how we will be treated if we go home? Still no voice for the African american no home for the African American this saddens me. You will turn against your own but uphold the pale people whom have robbed, killed, and rape africa and Africans as a whole and not one petition started.

Why dont these accusers of cathey have the same vitriol against the east Indians and asians who are raping the Gambian economy & the rest of the continent. instead they focus on tearing down an easy target, A melanated sister who is giving her people hope for a better life outside of the united snakes

Melinda Robinson yes if you come to africa and behave the way she did. Now that been said they ar countless black american/british who have moved to the gambia and call it home. They have been living their life's enjoying their welcome back home...we have no problem with ppl who want to come back home and help grow with us. What we dunt need is loud mouths negative ppl whose aim is to spread negative image of africa. We alreadt have enough of that from the western media. If you wana come home u ar more than welcome all we ask is respect us and learn our way of life.
