This will deplete our children as well as add extra pressure on parents. Its absolutely ridiculous. Teenagers need less acedemic pressure, not more.

Stop! This has huge effects on our students! The gov't is lining their pockets,while everyone else suffers! Build the new schools, or bring in more portables, this will have ramifications for our future generations!

if its not going to school for a long ass period of time the school is basically js saying that you neither get to get early dismissal but u needa suffer from waking up early (and dying, esp for ppl like me) or go to school late but get a late asf dismissal and have no time for ECs or anything like that. personally if i get the 2-5 period block i prob will ask my parents to dismiss me at 3:10 and leave every day for ECs, idgaf. its my way of showing that i got my own schedule and idgaf.

but going home at 3:40 or somewhere late around this time is kind of a problem for a lot of people, especially if you cant choose to go from blocks 1-4 or 2-5 because of ECs and maybe even teachers picking up their kids. if we get to choose between attending at p1-4 or p2-5 its better than not getting to choose if thats the case because some of us couldnt go home as late as 3:40 (if the dismissal is later, since it was shown that the dismissal ends at around that time in a classroom that someone i know was at), and a lot of people are used to the current schedule because its not as inconvenient, even though its not the best schedule to some people.

This is not what a 5-Block plan means. No one would attend the entire 5-period day. People who start at 8am would go home earlier (presumably at 2:15pm or something). Now, there could indeed be problems for students who don't do well in the early morning or something but it could also be quite convenient for parents who could drop of students before work. Either way, your problem with the plan shouldn't involve the assumption that you're going to school for a longer duration of time. This isn't the case.
