As a resident of the City of Lockport in New York State, I am opposed to amending the City Charter as it relates to the Adoption Date of the City Budget being consider by the Common Council. I believe that the requirement to adopt the City Budget at the first meeting of the Common Council should remain as is, and further believe that changing the requirement until after the November elections is nothing more than a political ploy designed to give a distinct advantage to the incumbents during an election year.
