This fee to launch if you will a human powered vessel is a tax, plain and simple. It's costs the township nothing.

The slippery slope. Next they will start charging surfers to launch their boards off the beach! Government overreach.

I am a Ship Bottom taxpayer and do not support this ridiculous fee. I'm all for charging fees for things that cost the township money - i.e. beach badges to fund guarding and maintenance. This is just silly and not very easy to enforce at all. We have young children and have used the bay beach over the last few years. It is not used all that frequently for launching kayaks - you might see a few if you sit there all day. Go back to the drawing board Ship Bottom - this just makes no sense and will cause animosity. We need to attract visitors and new businesses to our town, not turn them away. See you at the meeting.
Respectfully,
Lindsay Meneses Fagans.

Ship Bottom homeowners should be exempt from the amendment to 2016-12 regulating launching of non- motorized watercraft. As a homeowner this ordinance penalizes and discriminates against residents in this neighborhood.

Home owners should be able to launch unmotorized watercraft without paying a fee.

Let's WELCOME our tourists instead of continually charging them! Come, kayak and stand up paddle board on our beautiful bayfront, then ENJOY our fine restaurants, bars and shops of Ship Bottom!
