This site is not fit for such a development. It’s in the middle of residential area and has no train lines nearby causing transport difficulties for any short or long term residents.

My grandchildren would be living very close and from my experience working in community services, the clientele at these establishments, sadly have many and varied complex issues. To place a boarding home in this area full of children is not an ideal outcome for the community.

People pay a lot of money to live in this area, place this boarding house in areas where real estate is much lower.

Boarding houses provide invaluable social housing for poor people eg those on Newstart, aged pension. Noting that the majority of people who are currently homeless are women aged over 55. These women are struggling to access decent housing, cannot get jobs and living on $40 a day.
