My dad is currently incarcerated in Arizona. He is facing years in prison for non-violent/non-repetative offenses. This is his first time being in jail. He is mentally ill. There was a chance for him to go to a mental health diversion program and the county attorney denied it. Sign this if you think helping people (and my dad Bryan Bays) with mental illness is more important than sending them to prison! Stop the bleed. This petition is intended to show judge Cardinal the support for my dad in helping him rehabilitate from his mental illness rather than throwing him in a 4x4 with no help with his illness.

Bryan needs help with doctors ,not jail time and having no help at all....dont let this guy slip through the cracks..Help Bryan get well.
He will become a victim in prison. He needs to have therapy and medicine not jail. Please help people with mental health issues rather than just throwing them in jail .In Brian's case it is a personality disorder. He needs help not punishment.
Prisons are not for the mentally ill and treatment aren’t available to help these individuals. Please give these human beings what they deserve the appropriate treatment for their illness’s. Mental health institutions would be better equipped to diagnose the problems and supply the treatments needed.
I have known my cousin Bryan for many years. As a younger person, he was always grinning, always busy, always had mirth and merriment in his eyes. Things can happen over the years, and personalities can change due to unforseen circumstances which we have no control over. I would like to see Bryan get back to that happy, gentle person that he once was. He needs help that a proper mental Health Facility can certainly give him. Incarceration is not that place! I wish him the best and will be praying for this outcome.
I believe helping Mr. Bays will be greater than not. He’s worked a lot to be where he is and has earned a lot for his family. He's no threat to society, and should be helped, then returned to his loving family.
To a second chance at life.
I hope he gets the help he needs. He shouldn't be in jail!

It’s important that we have compassion for people during their times of need. Everyone deals with thing differently and some of us need a little help in that department. We should show this man that he’s not a number, that just because he made a mistake does not mean he is forsaken. There is no need for a martyr, what we need is for someone to take the time, and help this man get his life back on track and his mental health back together, so that he can give back to society what we gave to him.
