These programmes, such as casualty, have run over many years because they are valued to dramas that unite families all over the country. Many of these shows have run over decades, and the reason they run for so long is because they provoke interest in the public, they often highlight real issues that effect so many whilst offering support to those how maybe affected by what is shown.
Why should we axe shows that work so well for the public? If it's not broken, it don't need fixing.

Please Do Not Take Casualty off
Of BBC1 on a Saturday Evening
I Love watching Casualty.
Have watched it from the
beginning. One very upset person here & I am quite sure
I speak for many fellow followers of such a popular BBC television programme.

I am a great supporter of the BBC, sometimes that isnt easy....it becomes far less easy when you keep axing programmes I like and people presenting those programmes! I am still fuming about Tom Jones being axed....stupidity and rudeness from the BBC towards Jones and your customers. If you axe Casualty, Holby city and Silent Witness...then you are my ex channel, and I mean that. Im already getting angry about The Archers and what you are doing to the characters in that...they are turning into Eastenders....!!!! leave my programmes alone....or I will ditch my tv and watch everything online and thats no more licence fee for you.
