We, the undersigned residents of Benton County, Oregon, are firmly opposed to the purchase of the Bailey Branch Rail Line.
If the Union Pacific Railroad cannot utilize this line, why do we need to WASTE $500,000 on the purchase of the line? County funds are limited and should be directed towards needed services, like sheriffs and roads.
We strongly believe that fiscal discipline is what is needed in Benton County at this time.
Please be advised that the undersigned residents will remain engaged and will be actively observing any future steps the county takes on this issue. Please make wise decisions with our money.
We request that you reconsider the purchase of the Bailey Branch Rail line!

my property taxes are already high enough without the county throwing cash at useless projects. spend it on real needs.
