They finally folded and the tournament plans have been completely scrapped. Seeing these lives honored feels like a heavy weight lifting off my shoulders after so much grief. We proved that the cost of these stadiums was far too high for the world to ignore.

We need to stop the World Cup from happening in Qatar in 2022. Thousands of immigrant workers have died for this one cup. Are we fine with that? What would our humanity be if we accepted innocent people dying? If it isn't stopped now, thousands of people, or more are basically being set-up for their death. Stop the 2022 Qatar World Cup now! Join my fight, as we try to get FIFA's attention of the wrong doings.

Seeing 250 of you join this fight for the lives lost in Qatar leaves me truly speechless. I started this because I could not look away from the tragedy behind these stadiums and your support proves that we are not alone in our grief.

Seeing one hundred people recognize the human cost behind this event gives me hope. I started this because I could not stomach the thought of more lives lost for a game. Knowing others see this truth too keeps me pushing forward.

Seeing this momentum grow proves that people refuse to ignore the cost of these stadiums. The lives lost deserve more than silence and this wave of support brings us one step closer to holding FIFA accountable.

It's insane how many migrant workers have died trying to build that stadium. Their living quarters are cramped and pay is hardly enough to live off of. I hope this petition does something to help.

I concur with the reasoning, many people die unnecessarily, just like in Brazil. The World Cup could easily be held in a competent nation that has the facilities such as the UK, Italy, or the USA.

Celebration in times of death is in humane no matter where in the world you are. This World Cup has come at a cost that no person should have to pay.

FIFA has been allowing modern day slavery to build arenas and prepare for the Qatar World Cup. Thousands of people have died in the process and they either need to supervise Qatar and take control or move it to another country.

I think this petition to stop Qatar 2022 is very necessary. I thought Brazilians were exploited during the 2014 World Cup but it's apparent this one is much worse. I was completely unaware this was happening in Qatar. FIFA and the Qatar government should take responsibility for these innocent workers' lives and stop Qatar 2022 from happening.

It may be the biggest event in the world, but it's not worth thousands of men dying and thousands of families being broken. It's inhumane for us to celebrate an event where unnecessary blood was shed.
