The uniform policy is an insult to the students' autonomy. You can't have that. Psycholigist Erik Erikson stated in studies that an adolescent who cannot express themself will be confused about their sense of self and will not be able to "know their place" in life. Ditch the uniform!

The school staff and school dress code has become very extreme and sexist. I was pulled out of an AP class for having one rip in my pants that didn't even show any skin and as i left i looked around to see that many boys were out of uniform as well but of course they had targeted girls and our "provocative clothing". I was furious because i had to explain that i did not have any other pants due to a financial issue but they did not care and gave me a violation anyway. I believe that as young adults in high school we should be able to make the choice of what we wear on a daily basis and have the liberty to not get in trouble based on how we choose to express ourselves. Many students feel uncomfortable in jeans or khakis and it causes them to get distracted in school which causes them not to do their best in their classes. Ppease change the ridiculous policies at MBSH!

I absolutely know the feeling Claud! Why should I be taken out of class, be deprived of learning time, and ridiculed because a boy cannot 'control' himself? We have teachers at my school make us get on our knees and measure where our skirts, shirts and dresses fall. It is absurd!

As a student in high school, I strongly agree! Not being able to wear tank tops, yoga pants/leggings, ripped jeans, hats, etc is very unfair to females. How can boys get away with pants halfway to their knees but God forbid you can see my bra strap!?

I think we should be comfortable as we learn. I feel that we will concentrate more and have more class time instead of being stopped for an hour for dress code every morning.
Omg! That's sucks
