The board finally confirmed the gazebo project is cancelled. It has been a long and draining few months but I am relieved we kept our funds intact. Please stay alert for future budget meetings so we can ensure our fees are treated with more care.

Stone Meadows Residents,

Some of us have recently become aware that the HOA has been putting money aside for some amount of time. It has been stated that it was determined by a vote or survey or something at a HOA annual meeting that the money was to be best spent on building a gazebo that would then be rented out for use. There have already been a significant number of people that have voiced their opinions of other significantly better uses of whatever amount of the resident HOA fees that have been accumulated. Please join us in stopping the spending on a proposed Gazebo project until proper notification to residents is given that a major spending vote is going to be held.

The updated cost estimate was released last week: $45,855.00. $96/SF an average house with a basement costs $135/SF.

To date i have spoken to more than 75 people regarding this pavilion. of those random people, 3 of them had interest.

Seeing this momentum grow has been exhausting but it proves that our community is paying attention. I am tired of the silence from the board but looking at the scale of this response tells me we are finally forcing them to listen.

That money would be better spent repairing the trails, pools, trees etc. $45,000 is a ridiculous price for a concrete pad and metal roof. NO PAVILION

I am against anything that has not been made public & discussed. All information needs to be released and then voted on by the residents.

No new amenities. Reduce our annual HOA fees if there is extra money lying around. Lower HOA fees will bring more buyers to our subdivision than an expensive pavilion. Upkeep of existing amenities & beautification projects are needed & more useful for all residents of Stone Meadows.

Not now. I'm not against it in the future, but we first need to maintain what we have. The white vinyl fence, front entrance sign & landscaping around it, trails, bottom of theme pool are just some that need attention. It's not better to say we have different amenities if they are not kept up.

Just heard about the ridiculous plan/idea for a gazebo. We have unmet maintenance needs in Stone Meadows and a gazebo is an unecessary project. Let's spend our limited funds on the pool, the fence, the poison ivy, etc. or even speed bumps rather than a gazebo.

If we aren’t allowed to put up metal sheds in our yards then you shouldn’t be able to put up a cheap looking pavilion plus I would much rather see the money used for a playground or to just lower these ridiculous assessment fees.

Put the money into the subdivision another way, the pavillion seems like an overpriced building that will rarely be used.

The pavillion seems like a waste of money. Add something of value to the neighborhood or better the pools.
