If the county insists on placing the entrance on Stephens Road, perhaps the county could pay to place coded entry gates at both entrances to Stephens Grove.

For the safety and peacefulness of our neighborhood to remain, maybe those developing the parking should consider providing funding to make Stephens Grove a private gated community.

Please have the entrance to the preserve off Stephans road some where else. It will ruin out quiet Neighboorhood let alone there is only one way in and out of our neighborhood There are farms on thus road and do not need to be disturbed by more traffic. If the preserve wants this as an enterence then they had better employ a olive officer to protect our quiet Neighboorhood. There are other options for enterence to the preserve for the public then our road. Please find one.

Please do not make Stephens Road an entry to the preserve. It will be crime and negative influences to our neighborhood. The road already serves 305 homes and a few farms. We do not need more traffic on this road. Besides we do not need tons of people parking in our neighborhood since it will bring crime as well as our neighborhood is not a parking lot. Also of people park on Stephens Road it will become a hazard to all that live there since most people that will come will not care how they treat the area because it is not more than likely where they live, Bad idea. Please make access from a different area and not our neighborhood. If you are going to make our only way in and out of our neighborhood this enterance then you should pay for a guard/law enforcement to watch the preserve enternce so no harm comes to our neighborhood and this should be at the expense of the nature preserve not the Stephens Grove Community. Thank you.

We live directly on the gravel road in question. We are really upset with the complete lack of communication about this project. When we bought this property, Shea homes assured us that they owned six acres behind our home and nothing would ever go there. We were never notified about the land being given away/sold. This concerns us about our privacy, safety of our kids and pets, and security of our homes with strangers behind the house that are not monitored. Will there be security for cars parking after hours, teens, random hikers ...?

Sad that I had to learn of this decision to open the preserve through a petition! I'd like to learn how this came about and who the principals were. It was only three weeks ago that we were asked by HPD to stay out of the preserve...now it's going public?? I agree with those who worry about unsavory folks parking outside our community in a dark, no traffic area.

As many others in this neighborhood I too purchased this home because of the quiet, safe and secluded area. Adding this entry is a security issue issue which greatly disturbs me! Additionally, one small road in poor condition cannot handle the traffic it currently has. Obviously little thought has been given to this issue and I believe it should be revisited.

Aside from the obvious and described issues it is startling that we, as neighbors, were almost banned from all activities (I was stopped twice a couple of years back when walking my dogs and told that I was not allowed to be there) that the area will now be open to the entire public. Very questionable and arbitrary decision.

There are plenty of parks and other areas people can utilize for their outdoor activities. We bought in this neighborhood specifically for the privacy and seclusion. We have tolerated ATV's and people trespassing on our property to access this road. Taking away our privacy and property for others to access will only create problems and lower home values.

We love the safety and seclusion of our neighborhood. Our road is also not capable of the extra traffic.

We just moved into the neighborhood. Part of decision was the seclusion! Just say NO!!!

Generally speaking, I am not an alarmist. However, the remote and relatively secluded location of this park could very well present security issues; it would be attractive to those seeking such a secluded place to meet for illicit and/ or illegal activities. This is just a bad idea as a whole.

Stop this, there are no parking spaces on the road and the parking by the pool is for residents only.
