Standards Based Grading is completely unfair! If you get all of the answers right on a quiz you only get a 90% because you didn't exceed the teacher's expectations. You should not have to do extra work to get the grade that you deserve. Sign here to stop the injustice.

I have been reading through all the stories you guys are sending in about these grading scales and honestly it is just exhausting how much hoops everyone has to jump through for a simple grade. It feels like nobody at the district level is actually listening to how frustrating this is or maybe they just think we do not notice the extra busywork piling up on our desks every single week.

I just woke up and saw the notification on my phone and I honestly cannot believe how fast this is moving lately. It feels like everyone is finally realizing that getting a hundred percent on a test should actually result in an A instead of leaving us stuck in some weird middle ground where you try your hardest and still get told it is not enough.

Standard base grading is not right. Think about, right when you get one question wrong it automatically becomes an A-, Whereas on letter grading , if there are 20 questions you get one wrong that's a 95. This Standard base grading makes a BIG difference for us in the future.
I believe that standards based grading is not preparing us for high-school. We need to move further towards letters and away from numbers if we want this grading to be more fair. Percentages are precise and exact. Don't leave your grade up to a judgment call, why is meeting standards a B+ anyways?
SBG is terrible! Letter grading is so much more satisfying (I feel happier to get and A than a B). The teacher say that meeting standards is equal to an A+, but is actually a A-. Stop Standards Based Grading!
It is so unfair I got a meeting on a project, even though I did everything correctly!
Every time I get one question wrong, it is a meets standards, which is an A-. It is impossible to get in between an A+ and an A-.

Standards based Grading is so unfair! If you go to Baskin Robbins they give you free Ice Cream if you show them all A's on your report card. We can't get free ice cream because we only get threes and fours!
