Final supporters
Currently a student’s academic success is shown by standardized measures for the most part. Many students are not good test takers but do well on school assignments. Unfortunately, class assignments do not carry much weight for final course grades. Standardized tests seem to be the tell-tale of if a student will get good or bad grades and what college he or she will go to, if so desired. This petition is to get people to rally together to stop school districts from using mostly standardized scores and formal testing to show what a student knows. Students know much more than what a single test score shows. Students should be given the change to show their knowledge based on a variety of outcomes, not just test scores. This petition is to get school districts to use a variety of measures that are weighted equally, to show students achievements and not just formal test scores.

This has been my belief for many years and having worked in schools I saw how these tests stressed the students and schools would teach “to the test”. Valuable teaching time was wasted on too many standardized tests.
I agree. Can be soul crushing for a student who wants to go to college and does not do well on standardized testing. Great project Alexander.
There needs to be much less of this to determine a child's knowledge. Many don't have the focus for a 3 hour test and many get too nervous to do well.
I believe consistent performance is more important than a standardized test
