I did work experience here 2 years ago and it is was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I have never met such a well mannered and humble group of people and the students are so happy!

This is hugely important, as well as indicative of the way our society is functioning - or rather, not functioning - as a whole.

This is obviously a school that is paramount to stay open to help the children with complex special educational needs. as everyone is finding out that SEN children are the first to suffer during these cuts that are being made. As a mother who has an autistic child, it is becoming more difficult to ask for any financial help from Gloucester City Council, being told constantly that they are continually making cuts. Please stop this school being another statistic closure.

More and more services for disabled children, young people & adults are being eroded and I would implore the powers that be to re-consider these plans to close St Roses. Could the facilities be opened up to other groups or service users in addition to the prime services to open up other funding streams and help make it more sustainable for the future?

This school should not be closed as it is essential to many local families and provides a school suitable to the needs of these children.

Provisions for people with disabilities are essential, money must and should be available. The closure would have a huge impact for all concerned.

This school is a godsend for parents who have to care for a child with learning disabilities. Those of us who have healthy children can only begin to imagine some of the problems that can arise. We should give these families as much support as we possibly can – and certainly keep this highly valued school open.

We taught there happily (mostly!) for 10+ years and are still in touch with some of the children we taught, now young women. They are an inspiration and an example of courage and determination. St Roses School must not be closed.

I have benefitted from having attended this school. I enjoyed my time in this safe and loving place. I would never have blossomed as well as I did in any other situation. Please do not let this school close as I would like other children to have the same care and attention as I had.

We cannot let this happen. It would be a crime as it is such a good school and the children benefit so much from being in this environment. My son is one of those children.
