I live walking distance from the purposed liquor store, I also have 5 year & 6 year old boys who attend Cason lane Academy, the location of this liquor store will make liquor easily abailable and will negatively affect our communities public health, safety, and quallity of life if this liquor store opens its doors it will also put our children at a high risk for under age drinking. At a community level, these stores can act as magnets for crime and violence and expose residents to paotiential harm. YOU ARE PUTTING OUR COMMUNITY AT RISK AS A RESULT OF THIS DECISION. COMMUNITITES WITH LIQUOR STORES HAVE A HIGHER RATE OF ALCOHOL-RELATED HOSPITALIZATIONS DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENTS, AND PEDESTRIAN INJURIES, CHILDHOOD ACCIDENTS, ASSAULTS AND CHILD ABUSE INJURIES. OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS TO HAPPEN!

We picked our particular house due to location and quietness. To allow a liquor store in proximity to 2 schools is inviting possible undesirables to the neighborhood and would irresponsible. Currently a large liquor store is on Cason which is less than 5 miles from the neighborhood. At least 2 free standing locations where beer is available and 5 locations within 5 miles to purchase wine and beer(2 Krogers and 2 Publix's). Feel that is enough locations for residents to purchase their alcohol. Few council members terms are up in 2018 and if seeking re-election need to consider putting the residents wants and needs ahead what the owners of the strip mall want. If they wish to continue serving Murfreesboro they need to at least listen and consider the thoughts of us and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Do not want a liquor store to come into our neighborhood. It will destroy our house value.

I live directly behind the purposed liquor store. I worry about the increased traffic and crime that this will bring to my neighborhood. Please consider stopping this rezoning.

Really? Like I get NIMBY, but Cason Lane and the surrounding areas are FULL of crime. Full of parking in the street. CARS everywhere. A liquor store is not prison. It is where people go to buy wine, liquor, whatever. Not crack.

Nothing good can come from this type of establishment. There is already the gas station, smack in the middle of our neighborhood. We live on St. Andrews and the traffic is horrible! There are already a lot of rental homes with people coming and going. There is also the neighborhood playground so close to this building, along with all the other items mentioned in the petition. There are plenty of other places close enough to buy liquor.

I don't live close to where the liquor store will be but it will affect my daughter when she starts at Scales Elementary. I don't want this in the neighborhood. There are other liquor stores in commercial areas that people can go to get their spirits. Just not in this area

Please listen to concerned residents in the area. If you lived here, would you want a liquor store in the middle of your family community? There are several stores with a 5 mile radius that sells liquor.

The children's bus stop for middle school and highschool will now be directly in front of a liquor store? Thats seriously asking for trouble. This type of business has no business in the middle of a residential neighborhood and that close to 2 school and countless daycares.

It is about time we start to take more concern over our children and their surroundings than the "convenience" of someone's vices.

We're discussing moving out of the subdivision because of this. A gas station is one thing but a liquor store is NOT needed. If the Patel family and city council truly care about the community, they will not allow this.
