This is a sickening event and should be stopped. If you live in Holley, NY you should be ashamed of yourself to allow such an event to happen. I would not do any business with anyone from Holley, NY. A boycott might be the way to hit them where it hurts in their wallets.

Anyone who would participate in such a vile event has got to be very lacking in compassion or ethics. Something has got to be very wrong with the kind of scum who would enjoy killing innocent animals for fun! Surely, anyone with half a brain cell could come up with a more suitable fundraiser! Utterly appaulling!!

Please stop torturing animals. They are innocent and pure. There is no need for killing these sweet animals. What if someone shot your dog or cat for sport? Don't you see the same soul in their eyes as the squirrels? Please stop hunting God's innocent creatures.

I'm not a fan of any hunting, especially hunts where the prey is killed for entertainment value and not for food. I have no issue with folks killing and eating their victims, but sport killing has got to go.

Do we have to go through another year of this? I sent an email to Senator Tony Avella this morning voicing my concerns about why the bill that was introduced to ban all animal killing contests was not passed. They were very close to getting it passed this year but someone was voted out that could have had some influence and so now we are all faced with the Holley event again in February unless something is done. I personally have exhaused myself in contacting all the individuals responsible for ending this kind of horror. So many people have gone above and beyond the call to try and save these squirrels. It's a wonder that given the amount of squirrels they kill every year that there are even any left and if there are, that it would be such a small number of them I'm just sick of this!

Squirrels are created by GOD to play an integral part in their respective ecosystems and to enjoy the inalienable rights to be treated humanely and justly and to not be shot and killed for play or sport.
