Picture this: a 200 lb. man with a rifle capable of blowing a hole in a car door and then using that same gun to blast a tiny 2 lb. squirrel to smithereens. Anyone who calls that "fun" is seriously mentally ill.

Killing for prizes and charity is reprehensible and sick. To target the squirrel, which is a beautiful and defenceless little animal is not fun it is a horror, and should be stopped. Can't humans find something else to do to raise funds besides kill? For God's sake have a bake sale! How about a rummage sale?

Really the Firefighters could not come up with something non violent to raise money. And they think it is okay to teach young kids to kill and torture innocent animals. No respect for this group of so called Fire Men!

Please stop this barbaric practice of killing precious beings with whom we share the planet. Their life is no less important than yours. Your roles as Fire and Rescue is not consistent with advocating violence!

11 states allow squirrels as pets but in other states ignorant yahoo's are allowed to shoot these highly intelligent creatures. It's time to evolve, these animals have spatial memorization and recognition skills that rival chimpanzees.

This is a sickening event and should be stopped. If you live in Holley, NY you should be ashamed of yourself to allow such an event to happen. I would not do any business with anyone from Holley, NY. A boycott might be the way to hit them where it hurts in their wallets.

Squirrels do nothing to anyone. You don’t have to be vegan or part of PETA to be against squirrel hunting, but these creatures are harmless and vulnerable. Anyone who thinks this is fun and partakes in this is committing crimes against nature and will be burning in hell. These squirrel hunters do not deserve to be in the kingdom of heaven.
