We are seeking signatures of those opposed to 7 skyscrapers in Astoria Cove.

7 1/2 acres on the peninsula next to shore blvd near Astoria Park.

They are looking for Community board 1 to change the zoning of the area to residential

and waive height and shoreline restrictions.

We object and wish for the Community board to stand strong against the developers with our support.   We would like to see the land opened up to the public with a waterfront promenade, fine resturants and shops, indoor recreational venues and a bed and breakfast with shuttle buses to take tourists to our museums, 30th ave, and steinway st and NYC.

The developer is not concerned about what adding another 3,000 people to the area will do especially since they just approved 7,000 more people being added to Hallets Point.

They have not suggested an additional Fire dept, or Police Dept.  They are asking the city to  pay for redesigning roads and adding subway and bus lines to help the problems they are adding to problems that already exist.
