Stop Skellingthorpe Rendering Plant Redevelopment

We must try and stop the vile smell.

I am strongly opposed to any expansion and any further increased traffic and noise. Being one of the closest houses on Burton Waters to this plant - I can tell you I already hear some noise in the night especially IF I have my windows open and I have called the Environmental Health due to totally unnecessary vile smells from this plant. It will take more than a few extra trees they propose to plant to stop this vile smell and noise. I am told by the environmental health I should NOT smell anything from the plant OR hear any noise...yet I do. We all work so hard on Burton Waters and the surrounding area to encourage wildlife. Lots of young families are on Burton Waters and in the surrounding villages. I am sure there are better locations with better road structure for this expansion of this INDUSTRIAL unit.

Really bad taste to even consider this project The Burton Village and Burton Waters hold a special place in the Lincoln area This would be very detremental to property prices

So much for the new filter system, the smell is horrendous.

Traffic in this area has increased considerably during the thirteen years we have been living in the area, we do not need additional lorries carrying foul smelling carcasses and neither do we want anything like a rending factory which would pollute the area with foul smells.We purchased our property at Burton Waters for the outdoor lifestyle, fresh air and countryside as did many, including restaurants and businesses. We have in the past experienced putrid smells from that plant and have complained to West Lindsey Council. A larger site would inevitably lead to further problems to the residents, boaters and businesses in the area.

Too many small villages are becoming 'rat runs' for Lorraine's. Let's put a stop to it!!!

It seems of the first importance to protect what is a first class residential area which appears to becoming more family oriented putting first health and welfare of the residents. Many thanks Brenda Wilks

All lorries over 7.5 tons need to be kept off the B1190. It’s highly dangerous, they are so close to the pavement one slip and there would be an extremely serious accident, if not a fatality. These are motorway sized lorries going through a village. There is an alternative... the A46 bypass.

Unnecessary, it will be an eye sore and ruin natural habitat and ecosystems.

The smell is bad enough at the moment never mind if they redevelop/expand the site.

The smell from the existing site is often appalling and an expanded site will likely be even worse.

The road through Doddington is not suitable for heavy lorries using it as a shortcut between the A1/A46. It is a village in which a lot goes on with no pedestrian crossings which means residents and visitors are at risk when crossing the road going about their lives.

Also, STOP the injection of the stinking waste into the fields nearby

This is a rural area where the roads quite unable to cope with heavy traffic and even more is unthinkable. The proposed plant change is similarly inappropriate.
