Stop Sir John Thursby School removing muslim girls headscarf

The scarf never bothered anyone before so why is it a problem now! Also last I checked we live in a democratic society, where people had freedom of choice to freely practice their religion! When did we start to live under Nazi dictatorship?

A school I have previously attended and enjoyed my time at as a student. This has a massive effect on the way we choose to bring up our children and a simple barrier to the right every parent has to distill our faith, culture and history on our youth. If these levels of restrictions persist one only deems to think what the future holds. Parents have more concern over the wellbeing of a child that the state does so please don't try to take away the parenthood aspect of raising a child.

I am not happy with the new implamentation of the scarf ruling. My daughter feels very claustrophobic with the new scarf as a result and wishes to take off, she feels she has no choice. The new rule should actually start in September for the new starters so they have a choice to accept, right at the beginning. My daughter has considered changing school.

These head scarfs should be banned. I'm negl it makes them look ugly. They look sexy with out those new headscarfs. That is against my rights. My bbfffls look soo sexy with out those scarfs so Manet you should forget it

If the school is so strict on ' uniform ' then I think they need to do something about those sweat patches Mr howson has on his shirts, because I don't think those sweat patches are 'safe for effective learning and teaching in the college environment'. Peace out.
